Teaching and so much more

So I had no work on Wednesday. I won't call it a day off but I am currently working semi-part time hours at my current job so I thought I gather up some "life" experience and give some free help. I decided to volunteer at a primary school to teach Ethics to the little kiddies. I only sat in the classroom and observed but it was so worth getting up at 6:30am for. I really enjoyed it and cannot wait to begin. My dream job is to one day be a school/guidance counsellor. It's been demoralising me of late as it getting so hard getting these so called "life" experience and then there is this thing of you need more qualifications. I just hope working at a school would lead me the right direction. After being at the school this morning, I decided to venture out and have some 'me' time. I walked around IKEA by myself and had some 'me' time. I think it was much needed. I had a chance to really think and ponder on what I really want in life and I guess some days over thinking might not be a great thing but today it definitely was. Here's to 'me' days every day of the week!

A little slice of home

It's always nice when I have friends visiting. This past weekend my friend Sarah who is a flight attendant had a flight to Sydney. Whenever she is in town we just feast and explore Sydney. I have known her since Primary school so it is always nice catching up with her. After having brunch with Zee, we decided to take the ferry to Manly beach while Zee drove there. He beat us there as we missed the ferry we were suppose to be on but we were able to see the Royal Caribbean cruise that was just sitting at Circular Quay- it was just sitting there pretty asking us to go onboard. Maybe one day. However, I did manage to take some pictures of the beautiful Opera house. I don't think I can ever get enough of Circular Quay and how amazing it looks day or night.

Let it still snow.

Today, I had the whole day to myself and so I decided that I will start something I have been meaning to do for a few years now which is to: Blog. I guess its not really that hard some days to put words down and write something but some days, it really is. I had a really great morning because I finally was able to skype with my best friend in Thunder Bay. I miss her and her family so much and skyping with her was so good. I still cannot believe how much snow they still have.

Returning to sydney after our trip was a little more than hard. I needed a holiday after our holiday. However, I guess we have finally gotten back to our daily routine and finally got used to the warmer weather. I am glad it is getting cooler in Sydney though. Anyways, here's my first post to Thunder Bay and the awesome friends who are like family to me.
